I instantly knew who it was. even though I've never seen hack/slash (the way the chick dresses always turned me away. I'm just not into super mini skirts and super revealing tops and whatnot) but I knew who it was supposed to be. and kiss it on the bat was a nice touch
Honestly I'm a terrible example. I never had a life drawing session, never took lessons. I don't think I could ever draw something anatomically correct without solid reference, but for something drawn in my style, I guess I just have a good eye, and I can tell when there's something wrong. I take a lot of time correcting something that's wrong though So yeah, I'd say practice a lot, use references because there's no shame in that Still, this picture is a bad example
I don't think it's a bad example. I love the playful, sexy style of it. Don't get down on yourself, for pete's sake you have what, like 1000000000000000000 favorites! It means you're doing something right. I'd rather see something stylized than correct. I love works that have injected personality. I feel like, as an artist, I know when something looks wrong, but I'm not great at knowing how to correct it, I guess? Thank you for replying dear.
