reminds me of joan of arc. i love her armor! it's so detailed and fine!
also, as far as i can tell, she never referred to herself as "d'arc", though her father's last name was most likely "darc", minus the apostrophe
she was never recorded as using her father's surname, or her mothers, which was what she testified that girls in her home region used. she did however use the nickname "la pucelle", or, the maiden.
the more you know~
Her father's name was " d'Arc", but as Jehanne has itself stated during interrogation by Bishop Cauchon, in her country, girls have the name of their mother.
Her mother , Isablet, born De Vouthon (the village of Vouthon is 5 km from Domremy-la-Pucelle) but was nicknamed "Romée" in reference to a pilgrimage to Rome.
Joan's name would be Johannette Vouthon or Johannette Romée.
